For more than 20 years, Camp Buckner has been the scenic backdrop for changed lives. Thousands of children and teenagers have experienced God’s love for the first time through our summer camping ministry. And thousands of adults have been rejuvenated and restored through our retreat services.

Nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, Camp Buckner offers a variety of housing options to meet the needs of any group, whether young or old, large or small.  Camp Buckner offers flexible and individualized lodging in our climate-controlled cabins, lodges and chateaus.  And all of the buildings combine the rustic charm of the Texas Hill Country with modern conveniences such as air conditioning, high-speed internet access and telecommunications and audio/visual equipment.

Our Ministry
As a division of Buckner International, a global ministry to at-risk and orphan children and families, Camp Buckner provides a life-changing camp experience for children living in Buckner foster care statewide. It also provides a Summer Staff Program for college-aged students to serve youth and grow in their relationship with Christ.

Youth Camps
Summers at Camp Buckner are filled with excitement as church youth groups conduct summer camp alongside our experienced staff. Students enjoy swimming, a giant water slide, campfires, ropes course and more during their week-long adventures at Camp Buckner.

Summer Staff Program
College-aged students can earn college credit while learning all the aspects of Camp Buckner’s summer ministry to youth groups and at-risk children. Summer staff will receive a stipend, room and board and participate in a structured discipleship program designed to help them grow in their relationship with Christ. They will also undergo training to become certified lifeguards, and ropes course and archery facilitators.

Camperships
Children living in Buckner foster care may never know what it’s like to go on a hike, sit around a campfire or climb the ropes course if they aren’t given the opportunity to attend summer camp. Each year, Buckner sends dozens of at-risk children to experience God’s love in the Texas Hill Country.  But they can only go with your help.
